We’re winners!

We’ve won a prestigious award at the 2010 Aylsham Show, scooping first place in the ‘Best use of regional produce on a menu’ category of the Local Food Heroes Awards.

Sue Corning, of category sponsor PIC UK (Pig Improvement Company) is delighted to be involved: “PIC UK welcomes the opportunity to sponsor the Local Food Heroes at this year’s Aylsham Show. We are keen to promote British produce, particularly British pork, and look forward to seeing how regional produce can be used to create interesting and tasty menus.”

The winners of the four categories now go on to compete for the award of Local Food Hero Champion at the Aylsham Show on Monday 30 August.

We are going along to the Alysham Show on Monday to see if we win, although we are up against Woodfordes Brewery, a local £9million pound turnover fruit producer and a non-profit making local produce delivery company, so I am not sure we will get any further – but we’re certainly excited anyway!
